With a small crew, I created and maintained Pandora, an 8-foot-tall magical trash can in the form of a tree made of cartoonishly reclaimed materials, for a multi-day event. Pandora served as the actual trash can for the area it was in, but was objectively much more fun than an average trash can.
Pandora invited guests to play with their trash — to engage with their own waste footprint in a playful, creative way. The Pandora crew, playing an ultra-progressive farming collective and their talking cow, interacted with guests in character and provided education about sustainability and leave no trace principles.
